Internet is a computer network "global" that connects the LAN, MAN, and WAN with many routers in the world so they can communicate with each other despite the different flatform.
Intranet is a computer network-based TCP / IP protocol such as the Internet, only used in internal corporate / office, with a web-based applications.
If a company / business / institution to expose some of the internal network to the outside community, then this is called the Extranet.
